Thirteen years...that was how long our "main" TV lasted. I say main because it was the TV that was used and abused the most. It witnessed how we laughed, how we cried, how we bitched, how we argued or how it became our sounding board when we became sad or depressed. Turning the power switch on brought us to an alternate universe where we could immerse ourselves far from the problems of the real world.

Oh yeah, how could I forget? This TV experienced the blossoming of my love for my Arashi, Takki and Japanese dorama fandoms.

Somehow buying a new TV set today and replacing the old one was melancholic. It was like changing of the guards, changing of an era (literally and figuratively). From a bulky contraption to a sleek and technologically-advanced black panel, I'm suddenly craving for some old school designs. But, of course, this could change as I get to check out the features more and more each day. Truth be told, I can't wait!

We'll see. *winks*

Koree dropped by last night and brought me food. She's such an amazing friend! *millions and millions of hugs*

Eating close to a pint of Wendy's Frosty made me one happy camper. I never knew that it tasted so good! Okay, I am being sidetracked here. What I wanted to say was I finally shared my thoughts to Koree about Teppei. She told me that my eyes were positively glowing while talking about him. Is that a good sign?

Teppei, Teppei. After two weeks of not seeing him, I, at last, got a glimpse of his whole being last Tuesday. But it was fleeting...and he got off two stops way before Pioneer. That made me think a lot of things such as, what if he transferred companies? I could never get to walk beside him again.

And the dreams I mentioned to Koree...I would have loved him to pick me up from the office and spend some time together in a cozy restaurant whiling the night away. Or better yet, we could just gaze at the stars and eat greasy burgers and fries with tons of Coke to go with it. I hope one of these fantasies will come true soon.

Dear God, how about tomorrow?

I grew up listening to his music. I remember my parents getting home one day with a bootleg copy of the Thriller PV because one just can't download music clips since the internet was non-existent back then. My blog up until now contain entries about him and his music. Going to work and going back home was always complete with me listening to "Rock With You" in my iPod. My family and closest friends knew that it was my national anthem.

Disclaimer: This is a fan bashing succinctly. Erm…I mean, a fan talking (or generally known and accepted as voicing out one's thoughts).

Stevie Wonder and The Jonas Brothers at the Grammy Awards. Seriously. I don’t care if The Jo Bros. can carry a tune and can play instruments. Take note that the operative word is CAN. Because even I CAN carry a tune and guess what? I, too, CAN play an instrument. But talent is another thing.

Literally and figuratively, they are pretty good examples of the phrase “White Men Can’t Jump”. And I don’t mean it in an offensive manner. Sharing the stage with Mr. Wonder requires an individual to have an aptitude for greatness…for soul. Sadly, nary a trace was seen, heard nor felt. Furthermore, did you see them prance around the stage? C’mon, let me see some rhythm and not some bumbling kids just having fun.

I can’t wait for the day when these three fellows would show up on a reality show featuring celebrity has-beens like Miley Cyrus and the other Disney alumni.

I never cared about them but this takes the cake. To all the kids who see "the brothers" as their musical gods, I wish that you'll grow up to have hopefully developed finer tastes in music (of course, there will be occasional bumps of adoration for musical disasters) and you can then ask yourself…Jonas who?

After Media Noche, my family and I found ourselves in front of the TV watching Harry Potter on HBO. Beats me...I guess watching Sirius Black and Professor Snape (my two fave characters) is a weird way of burning calories before going to sleep. You know what's even weirder? I am not an HP movie fan but I ended up finishing the film at 3:00 a.m. with my Dad and brother already snoring beside me.

Waking up at around 11:30 in the morning, I continued what I left off. Watching and watching until my eyes popped out. Or until my aunts would call me for lunch and dinner. TMZ, Entertainment Tonight, E! News, The Daily Ten, The Insider -- all the showbiz talk shows imaginable -- I saw it today.

I even caught a Grey's Anatomy episode about change. Of all themes, why does it have to be change? It still struck a chord into my very core. To put it in a nutshell, the show wanted to impart that change is...

something that we don't want
something that will hit us no matter what
something that we should adapt to or we would be left behind

What an eye-opener and I'm not being sarcastic. It made me grateful that I am getting there. I am on my way to a better me.

Thank God for family, for friends, for dreams. Thank God for 2009. Thank God for a chance to make things right. Thank God simply for change. :)
